I am Leslie Watkins, the owner and founder here at Party of ONE. I have been a registered nurse for over 25 years and enjoy traveling and cake decorating in my spare time. I am a “behind the scenes kind of girl” and a self-proclaimed impromptu comedian!
My relationship with Christ started at age 18 but little did I know, there would be a lot of growing pains, poor choices and just “life” up ahead. I eventually realized that my worth, identity and value was found in the acceptance or rejection from others. As a result, I experienced years of disappointment and heartbreak. I can assure you, take it from me, being codependent and a people pleaser is not the life!
About 8 years ago, I decided to embark on a journey of self-discovery which ultimately led to a healthy love of self.
I realized that God and self were the only requirements to experience the true and authentic love that I had searched so long to find. Learning to love myself God’s way has transformed my very existence…finally free to truly be ME…unapologetically and without any reservations.
Whether you’re single, married, divorced, widowed, have children or a career, self-love is essential and so necessary. We were created as individuals first and in order to know what true love is, we must return to the original designer (God) and learn to love ourselves from his perspective. Everyone benefits from self-love and it starts within!
